We want the opportunity to discuss estate planning with you and, "we make house calls!"
... our objective is simply to determine whether we can help you. To accomplish this we must meet with and listen to you about what is on your mind.
This free consultation normally takes about an hour in the privacy of your home or, you're welcome to schedule an appointment at our office in Raleigh. We humbly respect your wishes and input during this "fact finding phase." During this brief visit we'll simply do a "needs analysis" or asset inventory (a "snapshot" of fixed and liquid assets, income/tax situation, insurance program, etc.) and ask you some questions, for estate planning purposes. This doesn't require a lot of preparation beforehand on your part. We ask that both you and your spouse be present (unless single, widowed or divorced) and to have available your latest tax return, all documents pertaining to savings/retirement accounts (what and where) and any policies (life or annuity) you might want us to review.
At the conclusion of this initial (free) consultation, any suggestions to improve your financial situation will be offered accordingly. This would also be the appropriate time to schedule a second appointment, as you wish, to get back together for us to present a carefully prepared proposal that is right for you!
Upon completing this second meeting, if our presentation makes sense and you're comfortable with letting us "roll up our sleeves and go to work," we'll complete some preliminary paperwork to get things started. It's at this point that most prospective clients ask the question, "how and when do you get paid?" At this point, we charge a modest, one-time administrative fee to begin the process and the balance of our compensation (commission) comes directly from companies with whom we do business and does not come out of your pocket...it's just that simple!
